Traditional posting decisions weigh seniority and supervisor preference. Pathway Vector reads a different signal.
Every officer builds a career engagement pattern across their postings — what they gravitated toward, what alignment scores they accumulated, where their trajectory is heading. Pathway Vector encodes that pattern as a 10-dimension career profile and uses it to augment posting decisions.
This view shows one officer’s signal. Select an officer above to compare profiles. The Routing View → shows how these profiles translate into ranked shortlists for open posting slots.
Each axis is one vocation dimension — the directions of work this officer engages with most. The green polygon is their career-mean score across all postings. Larger in a direction means consistently stronger engagement and alignment with that vocation type. This is the vector Pathway routing matches against open slot profiles.
Each dot is one posting. The score measures how well that assignment matched this officer’s vocation profile. A rising line means postings are increasingly aligned — the officer is being well-routed. A falling line is the early attrition signal: talent being sent where it doesn’t fit.
Each entry shows the posting type and its alignment score — how closely the assignment matched this officer’s career vocation profile at the time. High scores confirm the posting was a good fit. Low scores flag potential misrouting. The INT rationale explains the primary dimensions driving each score.

How to use this view
The signal view is a decision-support tool, not a recommendation engine. It surfaces pattern and trajectory — information a selection committee would otherwise have to reconstruct manually from a career file.
Growing trajectory with high alignment scores: officer is well-routed — continuation is supported. Falling trajectory or CVA collapse on a recent posting: flag for review before the next assignment is confirmed. The routing view shows which slot types this officer’s profile is most aligned with.
