Precision@3 measures how many of the top-3 routed candidates are correctly aligned with the posting type's
required vocation profile. Seniority routing ranks all eligible officers by years of service.
Pathway routing ranks by cosine similarity between each officer's career mean dim vector and the posting
type's empirical profile vector — derived from 1,257 Haiku-decomposed posting records.

Administrative Track — Systemic Attrition Signal
64% of administrative_track officers are classified
at_risk or drifting in PV-M3 trajectory analysis (gate: ≥ 40%).
Officers assigned to the administrative archetype consistently show high CVA when routed
to field postings (CID, EOD, patrol), then suffer sharp CVA collapse when returned to admin
roles — the definitive misrouting signature.
Pathway routing surfaces these officers as
83.3% P@3 for their native posting types (admin, training)
— but the clinical finding is the reverse: admin_track officers who score high on
field-posting dim vectors are being misclassified at the archetype level and should
be re-evaluated for detective_track or command_track reassignment.
Pathway recommendation: flag 16 admin_track officers (at_risk + drifting) for archetype re-assessment.
Internal · PV-M4 validation methodology
Routing challenge setup: for each of 10 posting types, candidate pool = all officers meeting
the posting's rank gate (EOD/VIP: Inspector+, CID: 3+ years, all others: full 200).
Relevance definition: officer's archetype has the posting type in its aligned_postings set.
Pathway routing target: empirical posting profile vector — mean dim_vector across all actual
Haiku-decomposed postings of that type (e.g. CID profile = mean across n=45 CID postings in
the corpus). This diverges from PV-M1 placeholder vectors, which were structurally valid
scaffolding replaced by real Haiku scores in PV-M2. Both methods evaluated on identical
candidate pools — no data leakage. Precision@3 is the standard IR metric for top-k retrieval.
